The script of the film will be written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and will attempt to cover the 60-year-old career of the actor Soumitra Chatterjee, who acted in more than 300 films.

The Dadasaheb Phalke awardee, Soumitra Chatterjee was admitted to a private hospital on August 14 with respiratory tract infection along with age-related health issues and was discharged on August 21.

The film was allegedly withdrawn from single screen theatres and multiplexes a day after its release on February 16. Director of the film, Anik Dutta, has alleged that the owners of the theatres were forced to stop the screening though it ran to packed houses in many places on the day it released.

Bengali thespian Soumitra Chatterjee shot off a letter, calling the taking off of the film from Bengali theatres as 'vindictive' and 'undemocratic'.

Soumitra Chatterjee, who acted in as many as 14 Ray movies, revealed this when asked about his fondness for sketching and calligraphy at the programme where his first book on paintings and annotations was launched.
