Since 2010, Shubham Soti Foundation has been organizing road safety programs on 5 January every year. The initiative includes the mission to spread awareness about road safety to prevent accidents.

Pankaj Kumar Tarai, a resident of Odisha, has dedicated the last 18 years to saving the lives of people involved in road accidents. Till now, he has saved the lives of over a thousand people.

Due to financial difficulties, Prakash Rao couldn’t complete his studies. His dedication to education led him to convert two rooms into a school in 2000 for slum children. Prakash utilized the earnings from the tea shop to support the children’s education. In recognition to his remarkable efforts, he received the Padma Shri award in 2019.

In the year 1985, Gagan Patel, a 65-year-old man, started a campaign to educate underprivileged children. Along with his wife, Annapurna, he extends his efforts to preparing food for the underprivileged children during festivals and other special occasions.

Shabana Azmi is an Indian actress and social worker. In the year 1974, she made her Bollywood debut with the blockbuster hit film ‘Ankur.’ The film was directed by Shyam Benegal, and it won the National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film.

Vijay Kumar Chansauria retired on 31 January 2022. He was the eldest among his five siblings, and his father struggled to educate all the children. He worked as a rickshaw driver to pay for his own fees. He got a job as a teacher and saved money to help the underprivileged students.

Lata Haya is an Urdu poet, television actress, and social worker. She has worked in many Hindi television shows including Alif Laila, Krishna Kunti, Jai Santoshi Maa, Kashmakash, and Adhikar.

Amala Akkineni is an Indian actress, dancer, and social worker. In the year 1986, she played the role of a Bharatanatyam dancer in filmmaker T Rajendra’s film ‘Mithili Enani Kaathli.’ Amala Akkineni has worked in more than 55 films in her acting career.

In the year 2017, Pathikrit Saha resigned from his government job to manage his responsibilities as a social worker well. Supported by people’s donations, he supplies notebooks and books to these children. He has helped over 2 dozen children to secure admission in reputable schools.

Arpan Banerjee is a resident of Karimnagar, West Bengal. For the last two decades, he has dedicated his life to the underprivileged people and assists then in orphanages and elderly care homes. He provides essential items such as food, clothing, and blankets to those in need.

Amit Verma embarked on a mission to address the issue of child malnutrition in the country. He introduced a nutritional kit called ‘Samvardhan kit’ which has helped over one lakh children in UP.

Noida’s Rohit Goswami experienced failure in class 12. His father encouraged him to learn a lesson from the setbacks. Motivated by this, he founded ‘Yuva Soch Army,’ dedicated to assisting people in overcoming challenging situations and contributing to society.

Nageshu, born in Odisha, works as guest lecturer during the day, and a porter during the nights. Due to difficult financial circumstances, he could only manage to complete his education while working as a labourer and a porter. He also runs a coaching centre where he provides free education to the underprivileged children.

Khushi Pandey is a resident of Alambagh, Lucknow. At the young of 18, Khushi started her campaign ‘Project Ujala.’ She raises awareness to prevent road accidents in the dark. On 25 December 2022, Khushi Pandey’s grandfather lost his life in a road accident caused by dense fog. This prompted her to encourage people to install lights for enhanced visibility.

Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor, director, producer, and social worker. He first appeared as a child artist in the 1959 film ‘Kalatoot Kannamma.’ He was awarded a gold medal for his exceptional performance. Kamal Haasan has received more than 18 Filmfare Awards and has been honoured with the National Film Award a total of 3 times.
