PSBs has attached assets worth over Rs. 2.3 lakh crore over the last three financial years and to enable online auction by banks of attached assets transparently and cleanly for the improved realization of value, eBkray, a common e-auction platform was launched by the Finance Minister on 28th December. The 'Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (Amendment) Bill-2019' was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11th December. According to the bill, six months imprisonment or fine of 10,000 rs or both will be sentenced to those who intentionally abuse their parents or senior citizens under their care and protection or abandon them.
