Shiromani Akali Dal  

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) received a bolt from the blue after its lone sitting MLA in Haryana joined the BJP on September 26. SAD hit out at the BJP for inducting Kalanwali MLA Balkaur Singh but the BJP maintained that the relationship between the two parties will be unaffected despite differences. 

Just after Shiromani Akali Dal MLA switched to the BJP, the party has now decided to face the Haryana elections alone. Kalanwali MLA Balkaur Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on September 26.

The Shiromani Akali Dal hit out at Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh for using “intemperate and abusive language against a woman Union minister” and sought an unqualified apology from him

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi stated that Rajiv Gandhi’s win in 1984 was clean and that he had not used his power to “spread fear or destroy democracy”. Soon after, Sonia was slammed by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)
 

RSS’s economic wing Swadeshi Jagaran Manch alleged that the Harsimrat Badal as food processing minister had opened the floodgates for the entry of Walmart into retail in India
