Days after ABVP staged a protest over violence that took place on January 5 at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi, the saffron organisation has once again witnessed an attack on them. This time in Kerala.

The SFI members dragged their counterpart Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from the classroom in Kerala and attacked them as they tried conducting a seminar supporting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) . Two students, who sustained serious injuries, were taken to the hospital.

The Kerala Police have arrested six members of the SFI in connection with the stabbing of the Thiruvananthapuram University College student Akhil Chandran in the premises of the institution
 

On Friday, 20-year-old Akhil was stabbed in the campus of Thiruvananthapuram University college. Akhil had allegedly fought with SFI leaders in the college for singing a song.

 

The report submitted by the special branch of the Kerala Police has mentioned that the Cantonment police had helped the SFI members to get out of the case. It is reported that the Cantonment officials were appointed to take the accused into custody. But, they didn't arrest them and they allowed them to escape
