The second installation -- 'Dwitiyo Purush' -- will take off from where the original concluded, Mukherji said, announcing the film on the 78th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.

The sequel to the 1991 hit film Sadak, Sadak 2 stars Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles.
 

Reports suggest that a fresh cast will be roped in for a sequel to 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa that featured Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles.

The follow-up film, titled "Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan", will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya and deals with the subject of homosexuality.

The 20-year-old actor is set to make her big Bollywood debut this Friday with "Student of the Year 2", a sequel to the 2012 film that launched Alia's career.

The original film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro was produced by National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) while Firoz Nadiadwala will back the sequel.

The 26-year-old actor-singer, Nick Jonas played the role of Alex Vreeke in the 2017 blockbuster that grossed over USD 960 million at the global box office.

The actor confirmed that the film is officially in the pipeline and will be directed by Craig Brewer, reports Entertainment Weekly.
