The attack on the CRPF group centre, Lethpora was executed under a conspiracy to avenge the death of Noor Trali, who was killed in an encounter with security forces in Dec 2017.

According to reports, as the jawans were conducting the search, militants fired upon them. A gun battle ensued when the security forces retaliated. 

An IED has been detected at an oil pipeline passing through a tea garden at Duliajan under Dibrugarh district, and security forces have rushed to the spot, a police officer said.

The encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the wee hours of Thursday after Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation

Two terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Hajin area of Bandipora district in Kashmir. The security forces have carried out four encounters in Kashmir valley and have neutralised at least six terrorists in Kashmir Valley. 
 

Shahid Manzoor, the friend of Jamaat-e-Islami preacher Rizwan Asad Pandit, has reportedly joined terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen. This comes as a big jolt especially after the security forces claimed recently that recruitment by terrorist organisations had gone down in Kashmir. 

The latest encounter broke out between the terrorists and the security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir early on Friday morning. The firing is currently underway in the Ratnipora area of the district.

A CRPF jawan was injured in the gun battle with the naxals in the Pedabayalu mandal of Visakhapatnam . He was later shifted to the hospital and is receiving treatment for his wounds. 

The Indian security forces have eliminated 18 terrorists since the Pulwama attack, 14 out of whom were from the JeM. Six out of those 14 were district commanders.
