 In a communique to the Cabinet Secretariat, the Election Commission said the model code will apply to the caretaker state government as well as the central government in matters relating to that particular state.

In a hearing held today, the Madras HC stated that it will seal the fate of Raghupathy Commission (whether it can continue the probe or should be dismissed) on Friday (3 August).
