The death toll in the boat capsize tragedy in the Godavari river in Andhra Pradesh has touched 34.  Search operations to find 12 missing persons still underway. The boat with 73 people onboard capsized on Sunday afternoon.

A fisherman named Rithesh D’Souza spoke to the media and informed as to how the body of the deceased owner of Café Coffee Day VG Siddhartha was found floating on river Netravati in Mangaluru, Karnataka. He was found after a 36-hour search operation.

Four fishermen went missing on July 4, two were found alive, clung to the capsized boat. But two more fishermen are still missing and are feared drowned.

The Tiware dam in Chiplun taluka of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra breached late on Tuesday night (July 2). Total 23 persons are feared dead in the incident and bodies of 11 persons were recovered till Wednesday

According to officials, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by police and security forces after they got a specific input about terrorists hiding in the area.

After the continuous search operation in the bad weather and difficult terrain of north-east, the wreckage of the missing aircraft was spotted by Mi-17 helicopter of IAF. 

The aircraft P81 is airborne from INS Rajali, Arakkonam Naval Air Station, Tamil Nadu on Friday. The aircraft has been equipped with special sensors, radars which will help locate the missing plane during the search operation, the Indian Navy said.

The Indian Air Force has deployed all available resources to locate the aircraft, sources said

The IAF has launched a special search operation involving a Sukhoi-30 combat aircraft and C-130 special aircraft to locate the missing aircraft.
