Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal has mocked Modi’s Howdy Modi event, saying these are all external extravaganzas. This comes in stark contrast to other Congressmen who say it is not right to criticise the Prime Minister on an event being held on a foreign soil.  

Former Union minister Salman Khurshid criticised the BJP government for the arrest of P Chidambaram and DK Shivakumar. He agreed that there is dissent in Madhya Pradesh unit as Jyotiraditya Scindia is upset for not being given prominence and wished Muslim politicians joining BJP luck.

Congress leader Salman Khurshid has added to the already confused statements by Donald Trump, wherein he said that maybe Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the US President to “meditate” and he may have heard it as “mediate”
