After stopping service to Belagavi route due to floods, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), has now halted services from Bengaluru to Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Nanjangud and HD Kote as excess water has been released from Kabini dam

Speaking to reporters after the session Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill would also lead to a decline in accidents for which the Rajya Sabha gave its nod.

Union minister for road transport and highway Nitin Gadkari tabled the Motor Vehicle Amendment bill in the Lok Sabha today(July 15). The bill was passed in the previous Lok Sabha, but could not get approval from the Rajya Sabha.

Road Transport Authority learned that three passengers were assaulted and as the Kallada Travels staff forced them out of the bus on April 21. The police reports also suggested that seven persons were involved in the assault against the passengers.

Earlier, reusable computers of the secretariat were given to institutions like government schools at free of cost. But, that was done only for a small quantity. This is for the first time that the government is supplying reusable computers to a government institution and that too in large numbers.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus was decorated with 500 kg of flower garlands, which was brought from Bengaluru, specially for Kannada Rajyotsava.

A conductor with the Tamil Nadu State Road Transport Corporation was arrested and remanded to judicial custody for allegedly misbehaving with college girls on a moving bus, police said.
