Speaking at an event Pakistan's foreign minister Mr Quereshi criticised India for pursuing offensive military doctrines, engaging in nuclear blackmail, rejecting proposals for strategic restraint and refusing to resolve outstanding disputes through dialogue. So the govt of Pakistan thinks that India is posing a threat for them and why is it so?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met UN secretary general Antonio Guterres to discuss various issues, during the G7 Summit. Earlier this month, Guterres had urged India and Pakistan to exercise "maximum restraint" and refrain from taking steps that could affect the status of Jammu and Kashmir

"The United Nations appeals to both sides (India and Pakistan) to exercise maximum restraint to ensure that the situation (in Kashmir) does not further deteriorate," UN chief Antonio Guterres's spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said.

The Centre and the lieutenant governor Kiran Bedi had contended that if the situation prevailing before the high court's verdict was not restored, the Union territory's administration was likely to come to a standstill.

Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire understanding of 2003, despite several calls for restraints and adherence to the agreement during flag meetings between the border-guarding forces of the two nations, one of the officials said.

In a briefing held in Beijing, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lu Kang, responding to a question that India had carried out a “non-military” strike, asked both sides to exercise restraint and resolve problems through talks.
