The death toll in Karnataka caused due to the floods has reached 58, with the recovery of four more bodies. Rescue operations continue as and as many as 1,160 relief camps are operational. 

With the festival of Raksha Bandhan fast approaching, celebrations broke out across India. Army personnel who were part of the rescue operations in flood-hit regions received rakhis from those they rescued.
