Apart from Ravi Shastri, the other big names who will give presentations to the three-member committee include former Australia all-rounder and Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody, along with ex-New Zealand and Kings XI Punjab coach Mike Hesson

As per norms, while the new Cricket Advisory Committee — likely to be chaired by Kapil Dev — will decide on the head coach, the selectors have been tasked to conduct interviews for the rest of the support staff

The board has invited applications for seven positions — head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and administrative manager

The team management is likely to be asked as to why MS Dhoni was sent at number seven after the team had been reduced to 5/3 in a chase of 240 in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand

London: The Virat Kohli-led Indian team met the Indian High Commissioner Ruchi Ghanashyam at her residence in London on Friday (June 7) ahead of their ICC World Cup 2019 match against Australia. The players and the support staff including head coach Ravi Shastri interacted with the High Commissioner. The official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared pictures of the visit. The High Commissioner congratulated the team for winning against South Africa and wished good luck for the rest of the 10-team tournament. India face Australia on Sunday (June 9).
