The Indian Army that was involved in the exchange of fire against terrorists in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir has emerged victorious after neutralising three terrorists. The Indian Army has lost one personnel in the firing.

The Indian Army and two suspected terrorists exchanged fire along the Jammu-Kishtwar national highway on the morning of Saturday (September 28). The officials said the terrorists hurled a grenade and followed it by firing soon after noticing the quick reaction team of the Army at Dharmund village.

Following the killings, the police had announced a curfew in Kishtwar, Doda and Baderwah, besides imposing prohibitory orders, banning assembly of more than four people in Ramban, Banihal, Poonch, Kathua, Rajouri and upper reaches of Gool Gulabgarh.
