Rains  

Ponneri and Cholavaram in Tiruvallur district recorded 13 cm and 8 cm, respectively, followed by Kelambakkam (Kancheepuram) at 7 cm.

The cyclone threw normal life out of gear as heavy to very heavy rains started lashing the two districts since late Wednesday night. Eight people were killed in different storm-related incidents.

According to people of Mysuru and Mandya, a loud noise was heard at around 2.40 PM on September 25. Those residing in the 50 metre radius heard the sound and felt mild tremors as well.
