A man who stole valuables from train coaches has been caught after four years of hunt by Tamil Nadu Railway Police.

 

According to the reports, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Border branch of Assam police had apprehended eight Bangladeshis at Guwahati railway station while they were waiting to board in Down Chennai Express train.

The Bangarpet railway police immediately rushed to the scene for further investigation and the deceased is identified as Karunakaran (38), a resident of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), Karnataka.

Belagavi district police officials in Karnataka received a call on Sunday where the caller threatened to blow up a train. The train was thoroughly checked for explosives, but the call turned out to be a hoax.

The passengers travelling from Shimoga to Bengaluru by train were terrified after witnessing the landslide under the tracks in Karnataka.
