External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Qureshi were slated to meet on the sidelines of the ongoing UN General Assembly session in New York.
 

Qureshi's comments after he participated in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation council of foreign ministers meet here on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.

Addressing a news conference at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington on Sunday, Qureshi said India used incidents that happened in July to cancel peace talks that it agreed to in September.

'We have long standing, complex problems and have no option but to start a dialogue,' Qureshi said. He welcomed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a congratulatory message to Khan expressed desire for talks
