Following the Madras high court verdict over administrative control, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi has challenged it and moved the apex court.

 

At a time when the country has chosen Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the next five years, the Congress is yet to come to terms with the development and is indulging in petty politics. Puducherry chief minister Narayanasamy has accused the BJP of forgetting Tamil Nadu. The BJP has however, told him to stop fighting and open his eyes to reality
 

Puducherry CM demanded that Kiran Bedi resign from her post of lieutenant governor, saying that she has no right to interfere in the everyday functioning as stated by the Madras high court

 

Puducherry chief minister Narayanasamy said that he was forced to hold a dharna as Kiran Bedi failed to reply to his letter

"I have made it clear that the benefit should be available for all families, including those belonging to the above poverty line category," Narayanasamy said.

Kiran Bedi also said that with the absence of local bodies, the Union Territory Puducherry was losing several rewards from the central government
