Buses ran through the roads as usual in Koppal and Davanagere. Even hotels remained open in Davanagere.

Government-run buses and autorickshaws were seen travelling on road as usual. Private bus staffers have supported the strike despite owners not extending their support.

The proposal of banning students bringing their vehicles to the colleges in the state would be discussed by Karnataka's higher education minister GT Devegowda with college managements soon. This decision is taken with an aim to promote public transport and curb pollution.

The e-rickshaws, manufactured by Goenka Electric Motor Vehicles, is expected to help Senegal in adopting clean and efficient energy sources for urban public transport
