Kerala's director general of police (DGP) Loknath Behra demanded an explanation from two police officers regarding arrests of protesters in Sabarimala temple. The Kerala high court has also mocked the Pinarayi Vijayan government over police excesses in Sabarimala temple.

A protest also was staged by Ayyappa devotees on Tuesday morning at Sannidhanam against several women due to doubts over their age. Then, when they came to know the truth, the protesters themselves provided security to the woman to visit the shrine.

Protesters attacked media in Sabarimala on Tuesday morning over reports of a woman of menstruating age suspected to be entering the temple.
 

Bengaluru police commissioner T Suneel Kumar said that the protesters can approach a particular forum in case they have a problem with the film. 

The deity at Sabarimala is a Brahmachari (celibate) and therefore women of a certain age aren't allowed. There are many temples in India which are exclusively for women and men aren't allowed. No man tries to enter.

Protesters are against the entry of women of menstruating age inside Sabarimala. They claim this is against tradition, custom, faith and belief of thousands of Ayyappa devotees.
