President's Rule In Maharashtra  

Post the imposition of the President's rule in Maharashtra, NCP-Congress and the Shiv Sena have reacted. The marathon meetings between these parties have still not come to a concrete end and they are waiting to chalk out a common strategy and discuss modalities to ensure each gets a fair share of the pie.

While President's rule has been imposed in Maharashtra, many have questioned the decision of the Governor. However, the Governor has strictly played by the rules as listed under Article 356.

President Ram Nath Kovind has signed the recommendation of Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyeri seeking President's rule in Maharashtra. The decision comes hours before the deadline given to NCP to form the government.
