A total turnout of 62.87% was witnessed in the first phase of polling in Jharkhand on Saturday (November 30). 13 constituencies out of 81 went to polls in the first phase. Jharkhand will vote in four more phases on December 7, 12, 16 and 20 and the results will be declared on December 23.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought the participation of as many Indians to vote in Maharashtra and Haryana.
