The Election Commission announced the schedule for Lok Sabha election today, sharing with the media the following dates and numbers
 

As soon as the Lok Sabha election dates are announced, the Model Code of Conduct will come into force. Earlier, several media reports speculated that the election will begin on April 10 and end on May 15. 

As the 2019 Lok Sabha elections inch closer, the theme of this year’s National Voters’ Day (NVD) is ‘No voter to be left behind’. It is being celebrated at more than six lakh locations covering around 10 lakh polling stations across the country
