Pocso Act  

A complaint has been filed with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) by Balala Hakula Sangham under the POCSO Act.

One of the new courts to come up in Ranga Reddy district will concentrate on clearing pending cases under POCSO Act. Another court in Hyderabad has 185 pending cases under the Act.

The accused is identified as Praveen (22), a son of a traffic sub-inspector who sexually harassed a minor girl in his locality.

Kumily Daimukku native Churali in Kerala was held as an under-trial prisoner in Peermade sub-jail after he was charged under the POCSO Act for allegedly raping his daughter.

Fayaz has been arrested by the Karnataka police in Mangaluru after which he was handed over to the Chevayur police in Kerala. The accused has been booked under sections 7, 8 under the POCSO Act.
