Amid unprecedented security, Kerala State Transport Corporation buses were bringing pilgrims from Nilakkal to Pamba and no services had been stopped, KSRTC sources said. Shops and hotels near the temple complex were open.

With the new facility, the devotees can book their time slots for darshan on the website which allows bookings for pilgrims to travel from Nilakkal to Pamba, have darshan in Sannidhanam and then return to Nilakkal. 

Kerala ministers EP Jayarajan, KK Shailaja, and the police have warned the protestors against creating unrest in Sabarimala. They have assured to extend protection to female pilgrims.

IG Manoj Abraham said that the police would provide all the security measures to any devotee who needs to worship Lord Ayyappa at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala.

“Despite the best efforts from the chairman of Amarnath Shrine Board, Governor NN Vora, the Army and Border Security Forces, it is unlikely that the roads will become suitable for travel in near future,” Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said.
