Manithi Women’s collective, along with women of Kerala are likely to visit Sabarimala temple in Pathanamthitta within two months. 

Sabarimala turned into a battlefield after the Supreme Court verdict on September 28, 2018. Today, we asked several women from Kerala whether they wish to enter the shrine or will they wait till 50 to enter the temple?

A 55-year-old man died after he was assaulted by his daughter’s lover in Pathanamthitta, Kerala.  He was rushed to a hospital after the incident but succumbed to injuries this morning (August 2)

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red alert in three districts of Kerala and predicted heavy rains in the state.  The red alert was issued for Idukki district from July 18 to 20, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts for July 19.

Finally BJP announced its fourth list, which included Pathanamthitta candidate. K Surendran will be contesting form Pathanamthitta, where Ayyappa shrine is located.

The BJP will field candidates in 14 seats in Kerala, while the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena will contest for five seats, the PC Thomas-led Kerala Congress will contest in one constituency (Kottayam).
 

BJP state chief PS Sreedharan Pillai, state general secretary K Surendran and Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam are all urging to contest from Pathanamthitta, say party sources. 

 
 

Amid high controversy, the Sabarimala temple will open its doors to devotees on March 11. During the 10-day annual festival, the shrine will have a gold-plated door installed.

The Sabarimala shrine is opening on February 12 for Kumba puja. Meanwhile, Pathanamthitta deputy superintendent of police has submitted a report to the director general of police seeking to impose Section 144 at the temple premises.
