Senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily has exhibited a “welcome” gesture to the TDP to join them in an alliance against the BJP-led NDA government. The TDP dropped out of the NDA alliance earlier this year as the Centre refused to consider Andhra Pradesh's request to grant them special status.

The yatra, organised by the NDA, will begin on November 8 from Kasargod and culminate at Pathanamthitta in Kerala on November 13. BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai addressed the reporters.
