The top court rejected the mercy plea of Nirbhaya convict Mukesh Singh who had complained that his lawyers had misled him. The other convicts have approached the ICJ for a stay on their execution. 

Mukesh Singh, one of the Nirbhaya convicts, has re-approached the top court saying he was forced to sign the mercy and curative petitions by amicus curiae Vrinda Grover 

On Tuesday, another Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder convict Akshay filed a curative petition to the Supreme Court. Today, the top court will pronounce its order on Mukesh Singh's mercy plea rejection.

Mukesh Singh, a Nirbhaya convict has again approached the SC, as his mercy plea was rejected by the President. Tanzanian Indian high commission organised an event to celebrate the Republic Day.

Sources said, the ministry of home affairs had sent Nirbhaya convict Mukesh Singh’s mercy petition to the President on Thursday night

Mukesh Singh, inspector general of police, Jammu, confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old Pakistani man Basharat Ali, a resident of Sialkot in Pakistan.
