The Chandrayaan-2 is getting closer to the moon as it has successfully completed all its orbit manoeuvres. The Chandrayaan-2 mission has completed all its orbit manoeuvres around the moon.  ISRO now aims to create history by making India the first nation to reach close to the moon's south pole in its first attempt.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to insert the spacecraft into a lunar orbit on August 20. Following this, there will be further four orbit manoeuvres to make the spacecraft enter into its final orbit passing over the lunar poles at a distance of about 100 km from the moon's surface.
