Since Murshidabad is a district with 70% Muslim population, the demand for name-change has attained a communal overtone. Earlier, the VHP had called for a change in the name of Islmapur to Ishwarpur.

On Saturday, Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh had stated at a press conference that Mamata Banerjee was the frontrunner for the post of the PM.  

Dilip Ghosh said that Mamata Banerjee was the only Bengali who can be the next Prime Minister. Was it not a hint of Ghosh tilting towards the TMC?
