IndiGo, SpiceJet and Vistara cited bad weather conditions for possible delays in arrival and departure of flights. Passengers have been asked to check flight statuses and keep enough travel time in hand. 11 trains were also delayed due to dense fog. 

TMC-turned-BJP leader Mukul Roy is engineering this mass defection. Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP’s leader in charge of Bengal, will be present on the occasion. BJP’s State unit president Dilip Ghosh will preside over a similar programme in Malda, making hundreds of TMC members join his party, and then join Roy in Balurghat.
