In what comes as a relief to ISRO, NASA stated that their lunar probe will fly over the landing site of Chandrayaan-2's Vikram Lander on Tuesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was at Bengaluru’s Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to witness the soft landing of Chandrayaan 2’s lander Vikram. However, ISRO lost connection with the lander minutes before the scheduled landing. Former chief minister has raked up the incident and blamed PM Modi for the “misfortune”.

In a statement, Japan embassy said that Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and ISRO are planning a Japan-India joint lunar exploration that would be launched in the early 2020s

ISRO scientists have found the Vikram lander lying on the lunar surface after a hard landing, in a tilted position. Vikram lander lost connection with the ground staff just minutes away from the scheduled soft landing. 

ISRO is relentlessly working towards restoring a link with Chandrayaan 2’s lander Vikram. However, ISRO scientists believe that that the longer it takes, the lesser the probability to establish link.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has located the exact location of the Vikram lander using Optical High Resolution Camera (OHRC). The organisation is trying to establish contact with the lander.

Taking to Twitter, NASA lauded the ISRO team of India and said, "You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together."

While the lander part of Chandrayaan2, Vikram, remains incommunicado, the Orbiter is in perfect health. Though the landing may not have taken place, India has been 95% successful in sending its mission to moon

While ISRO wonders why lander lost contact, Congress MLA UT Khader has opined that Russia may have played a role in it.  

While India rejoices in its space glory, its neighbour Pakistan continues to tease it over the communication lost by the Lander. Twitterati lampooned, lambasted and mocked the country that exports terror and does nothing beyond it.
