While BJP has been protesting against the ruling coalition government in Karnataka claiming they have no majority, chief minister Kumaraswamy decided to present the budget without issuing copies of it to the opposition. BJP staged a walkout and protested the government's disregard for protocol.

After issuing threats to destabilise HD Kumaraswamy government and a body blow to Karnataka Congress, Ramesh Jarkiholi has nowhere to go. According to sources, BJP president Amit Shah refused to meet as he is left with only five legislators to his support, who are camping in an undisclosed location in Delhi. Now, Jarkiholi is working on a compromise formula by approaching Mallikarjun Kharge.

 BJP leader Jagadish Shettar said Karnataka chief minister Kumaraswamy’s shootout statement over JD(S) leader Prakash's death was ‘illegal’. Shettar also said that the countdown to the fall of Kumaraswamy government has begun with the expansion of the cabinet.

Sugar mills in Belagavi, Bagalkote, Haliyal, Kalaghataki, Vijayapura, Kalburgi, Bidar and Mandya districts together reportedly owe Rs 480 crore to the farmers.

Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy is likely to announce education loan waiver, to lessen the burden on students belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. It looks like Kumaraswamy is trying to win over the youth of the state through this scheme, but at the cost of taxpayer's money.

According to reports, the Muzrai department of Karnataka had issued an order, instructing as many as 80 temples under its jurisdiction to transfer Rs 12.3 crore for the Kodagu hit victims. Questioning this, a petition was filed against the Kumaraswamy government by a VHP leader.
