Flood in Kodagu, Karnataka, brought out its unity. Khatija Umma Arabic college/madrassa in Madikeri is taking care of 530 flood victims. Hindus, Christians and others are housed at this madrassa in Shontikoppa, a village 15 km away from Madikeri.

Kodagu floods: An estimated 123 km of roads have been damaged and more than 800 homes have been destroyed. While on the aerial survey, Karnataka chief minister, HD Kumaraswamy was seen coolly reading a newspaper. It really did not look like he was bothered by the devastation below.
