Kerala Bishop  

Punjab police reached Kerala to take into custody two of its sub-inspectors, who were absconding for the past one month with a sum of over Rs 6 crore. The duo allegedly seized the money from a residence of the aide of former Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who was accused of raping a Kerala nun, and is currently out on bail.

 

The alleged sexual assault by Bishop Franco Mulakkal has had the entire nation up in metaphorical arms, but notwithstanding the widespread condemnation of it, the Church has brazened it out by backing the reported perpetrator of the heinous crime

The nuns from Kottayam Kuravilangadu seminary protested after Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mulakkal was accused of raping a nun on multiple occasions between 2014 and 2016. As per reports, the four nuns got the order from Mother General, transferring them to different places.

 

The nun, who was allegedly abused by Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal, on Tuesday, lodged a complaint against Kerala MLA PC George for using vulgar terms (prostitute) against her at a press conference recently.

People also allege that Bishop Franco fears that the church leadership may stand against him if gets arrested when he sits as the chief of the diocese

Kerala High Court has asked the police officials to submit detailed report as part of the investigation in the Kerala nun rape case.
