BJP candidate for Assembly by-election in Mandya, Dr Siddaramaiah was seen feeding bun to his pet dogs at  home soon after he cast his vote. 

Chandrashekhar also submitted Form 9 and announced that he has annulled Padmanabh's position as his chief election agent. Thus making sure that Padmanabh's signature on any election-related document becomes invalid with immediate effect. 

 

Ramanagara JD(S) candidate, Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's wife Anitha Kumaswamy paid a visit to Kampanahalli village Koti Anjenayaswamy temple; Yeddyurappa along with son and candidate from Shivamogga visited Hucharaya Swamy temple.

At 11 AM, the Lok Sabha constituencies of Shivamogga recorded 17.37%, Ballari 24.58% and Mandya recorded 13.36%, and assembly constituencies Ramanagara recorded 21.51% and Jamakhandi recorded 22.3% voters turn out.

Ballari deputy commissioner Ramprasad Manohar along with his family turned up at the polling booth early morning to cast his vote. 

At two polling booths set up at government higher primary school, Naganur Taluk in Jamakhandi, Karnataka, voters were welcomed by women with a tray of kumkum and tilak.

The Election Commission has announced a pick-up and drop facility for persons with disabilities to polling booths during the by-elections in Karnataka. 

Karnataka by-election: A snake shocked the staff on election duty at one of the polling booths in Ramanagara. Voting started only after making sure the snake was taken away and was not seen anywhere near the booth.

Karnataka begins voting today in a critical set of by-elections that will test the Congress-JD(S) coalition in the state. Voting for three Lok Sabha and two Assembly seats started at 7 AM.
