A POCSO case has been registered against former CPM branch secretary in Kannur for trying to abuse an Adivasi minor girl
 

The body of the transgender was identified by the members of the transgender community in Kozhikode, Kerala. The deceased is identified as Shalu, a native of Mysuru, Karnataka, who had been staying at Alakode in Kannur.
