Chennai’s water supply from Jolarpettai will be doubled from July 21 after the railways is expected to put an additional rake (a formation of coupled coaches or cars) to the service

Chennai received its first batch of water from the special water train from Jolarpettai. Two trains with 25 wagons each has a capacity of 50,000 litres per wagon and will make two trips every day.
