Nottingham: All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who struck a fine half century in Pakistan’s 14-run victory over England in the ICC World Cup 2019 on Monday (June 3), said the team’s bowlers were always confident of defending 348. Hafeez said the team had gained confidence after beating the tournament favourites. Pakistan posted 348/8 in 50 overs and England, despite centuries from Joe Root and Jos Buttler, fell short, ending up with 334/9. Earlier, Pakistan were defeated by West Indies after being bowled out for just 105 in their opening game.
