Amid the crisis that has racked Jet in the recent times, around 260 pilots from Jet Airways have now applied to join SpiceJet airlines. 

The government on Tuesday called an emergency meeting with Jet Airways management to contain the crisis. The meeting took place after civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu intervened and asked the secretary to take stock of the situation.
