The letter to Prime Minister about the crimes in the country involving 'Jai Shri Ram' chants has grabbed headlines. Now a suspended Kerala IPS officer Jacob Thomas has made a statement that Jai Shri Ram should be chanted more in the country

 

IPS officer Jacob Thomas who was suspended by the Kerala government has been reinstated by the Central Administrative Tribunal. Thomas was first suspended in December (2017) for making a speech against corruption on International Anti-Corruption Day.

 

According to the FIR, Thomas spent Rs 19 crore to buy a dredger, when only Rs 8 crore was sanctioned. The report alleged that Thomas caused financial losses to the government and misused his position.

Since the state government has not accepted his resignation, Jacob Thomas will not be able to contest the Lok Sabha election
