The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to insert the spacecraft into a lunar orbit on August 20. Following this, there will be further four orbit manoeuvres to make the spacecraft enter into its final orbit passing over the lunar poles at a distance of about 100 km from the moon's surface.

Chandrayaan-2 mission had to be aborted on July 15 due to technical snag. ISRO chief K Sivan has confirmed that glitches have been rectified and the mission Moon is all set to take off.

ISRO chief K Sivan also announced that India will not join the International Space Station. After Chnadrayaan-2, ISRO will launch another mission to the Sun and later to Venus, he said.
