After England defeated India by 60 runs to win the fourth Test in Southampton and claim the five-match series 3-1, captain Joe Root said he was happy with his team’s "exceptional" performance. He also praised Man of the Match Moeen Ali, who took nine wickets on his return to Test cricket.

Kohli also said England deserved to win the match. The hosts won by 60 runs after India failed to chase 245 in Southampton.
