Kishore Ajwani is an Indian journalist and TV anchor. From the 2000 to 2001, he worked as a TV anchor for DD Sports channel. In the year 2001, he joined Zee News as a Deputy Executive Producer, and launched the show called ‘Badi Khabar.’

Rajat Sharma is an Indian journalist, anchor, and businessman. He works as the chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV. In the year 2015, the Government of India honoured him with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award.  

Nidhi Razdan is an Indian journalist and news anchor. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir awarded her for her outstanding role in the field of journalism. Nidhi Razdan was the executive editor of NDTV, and the anchor of debate shows Left Right & Centre and The Big Fight.

The Press Council of India started functioning on this day, marking this day as National Press Day.The Press Council of India is an autonomous body to exercise authority even over the instruments of the state in its duty to safeguard the independence of the press.
