Prime Minister Narendra Modi announces Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Abhiyan on 72nd Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Red Fort on 72nd Independence Day spoke about doubling farmers' income by 2022. This is his second grand announcement in this speech. The first was about India's own manned space mission by 2022.

PM Modi said, 'This Gaganyaan will be taken to space by an Indian, powered by the research efforts of the Indian scientists. When that happens, India will become the fourth nation in the world to have sent man to space.'
