According to the IMD, a low-pressure region with the potential to morph into a tropical cyclone is brewing in the far east of the Bay of Bengal which might strike the coast of southern India in the next few days.

The forecast is of immense importance as it directly influences agricultural production and has an impact on inflation and growth.
 

According to the IMD, the sudden rainfall is due to an approaching western disturbance. The maximum temperature on Tuesday is expected to be around 36 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperature could settle at 28 degrees Celsius.

Rain is predicted in view of the formation of a cyclonic circulation over north Bangladesh and neighbourhood , which is likely to take shape of a low pressure soon, a special bulletin of the IMD said.

 A yellow alert has been issued in Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts for Tuesday

According to the report, the quake line had passed through Madikeri, Bisale, NR Pura and Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka. But what's strange is that places in Kodagu region that experienced floods recently are the same areas that were jolted by the quake in July.
