Security forces on Thursday averted a major tragedy as they foiled a bid to set up a car-borne IED, containing about 45 kgs of explosives, in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Delhi Police on Monday said a terror strike was averted after it apprehended three persons with ISIS connections from Assam with IEDs.

According to the reports, the explosive was planted by enemies. An army patrol of 12 Madras Regiment was going through the area at Dhera Dabsi when the explosion took place.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, the naxals had set 27 machines and vehicles at a road construction site in Kurkheda on fire. 

In an IED attack by Naxals 16 jawans have been killed on Wednesday in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. The incident happened when a team of the C-60 squad commandoes, an anti-naxal unit, was patrolling the Kurkheda-Korchi road

Malik, chief of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), was arrested in the crackdown after the Pulwama terror attack in which over 40 CRPF jawans had been killed in an IED blast.
