Six girls from Kasturba Gandhi Residential School fled a hostel accusing the warden of forcing them to clean toilets, and domestic work. School authorities have refuted the allegations and the girls were taken back to their hostel.

On July 2, 2018, 20-year-old Abhimanyu was attacked and killed at Maharaja’s College hostel around 12:30 am.  Abhimanyu was in the second year of his degree course.  
 

"There is a complete breakdown of law and order, with reports of mobs attacking doctor hostels with weapons. The government has failed to provide protection and justice to doctors," the AIIMS Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) said
