The probe into the honour killing in Telangana has revealed that in the beginning, the group demanded Rs 2.5 crore for killing Pranay and then it was negotiated to Rs 1 crore. The family had paid Rs 15 lakh as advance.

The victims are identified as Sandeep and Madhavi, who belong to different castes, and their relationship was opposed by the girl's family. Thus, the couple had got married at Arya Samaj, Hyderabad, just a month ago. 
 

Amrutha has also accused Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, who her father was close to, of threatening the couple several times after their marriage.
